Description
The photo was taken during my journey to discover spiritual-cultural festivals. In the full moon of July, as part of the Vietnamese culture, women put on the traditional costumes called "Ao Dai" to join the colored lantern and flower-garland releasing festival on the river to pray for happiness and good luck to their families. May the souls of their dead relatives and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace in heaven. This photo was taken around 6 PM in the Imperial City of Hue, Central Vietnam. The photo captures the clear blue sunset reflected in the deep blue river water. The highlights of the photo are the lighting candles that illuminate darkness, solidify intentions, offer blessings, and nourish grateful living.
When looking at this photo, from my heart, may more than 4 million people who have died from the COVID-19 epidemic and those who have died from disasters, natural disasters, wars, diseases... on the world be freed, to heaven. They will forever live in our hearts, remember them and it is a special spiritual culture of the people in Hue, Vietnam in my journey of discovering cultures.
